On the property in Cologne-Seeberg, the “Courtyard Housing Quarter” is an animated contemporary residential ensemble that blends harmoniously with the neighboring developments.

Taking into account the urban planning framework, the new structures remain lower than the maximum allowed built height. The new massing and its landscaped courtyard opens with an inviting gesture in the direction of the neighborhood’s public park, which is only 50 meters away. In this way, the urban passageways are linked and the neighborhood’s network expanded.

Special attention was paid to ensure all residential units receive optimal sunlight throughout the day with south-facing balconies or terraces receiving sun exposure. Residents benefit as well from the site’s spacious inner courtyard, as well as several green, communally usable roof terraces. The courtyard, which unblocked from two opposing sides, generates ideal ventilation for the entire complex and its units.
