We proposed to build two masses that work with the inclined landscape, sitting gently on the hill as rocks would on a mountain.
We referenced the natural flow of rivers and snow on mountains slithering smoothly through stones. The imposing appearance of the buildings from the main access road is reduced by inclining the facades all the way down to the street level. They become an extension of the accessible green roofs, sprinkled with planters and stairs, a subtle reference to the iconic Casa Malaparte in Capri, Italy.
Our goals is to offer each apartment unit access to a generous garden, insuring its residents access to fresh air, sunlight and planting.
